How is yoga therapy different from a general yoga or Pilates class?

A general yoga or Pilates class follows a shared practice designed for a group, while one-on-one yoga therapy is personalised specifically to you.

In yoga therapy, we begin with what you are experiencing and what you want support with. Your movement, breathwork, mindfulness, and other practices are adapted to your individual needs, abilities, and goals. Think of a class as learning a practice together, while yoga therapy is having the practice shaped entirely around you.

Do I need to be flexible or have previous yoga experience?

No, not at all. Yoga therapy meets you exactly where you are today. You do not need to be flexible, physically fit, or experienced in yoga or meditation to benefit fully from our work together.

Can I attend if I have an active injury, pain, or health challenge?

Yes. In fact, chronic pain, injury rehab, fatigue, burnout, and persistent health conditions are common reasons people seek individualised support. Every practice is safely adapted to your current state and comfort level, with mindful care around your unique circumstances.

What if I don't know exactly what I need help with?

That is completely okay. You do not need to have everything figured out before you reach out. We begin with a gentle conversation about how you are feeling and what you would like to feel different, collaborating to discover the right path forward.

What happens during a typical session?

A typical session begins with a relaxed conversation about how you are feeling, what is happening in your life, and what you would like support with. Depending on your goals, we then explore personalised practices such as gentle movement, breathwork, mindfulness, guided meditation, or reflective self-inquiry.

Are sessions available in person in Perth or online?

Both options are available. I offer private in-person sessions in Perth, Western Australia, as well as online sessions via video call. This ensures accessible, dedicated support whether you prefer face-to-face guidance or the comfort of practising from home.

What should I wear and bring to an in-person session?

Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move and breathe freely. Bring along a water bottle and anything else that helps you feel supported and at ease. All necessary props and equipment are provided.

What can I expect from the initial 15-minute call?

The 15-minute call is a relaxed, no-pressure chat where we discuss what brings you here and what you are looking for. I will share how I work, answer any questions, and help you decide whether my approach is the right fit for you. There is no obligation to book ongoing sessions.
